Nagaland Governor, P B Acharya, and State Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, have extended greetings to the members of the Sumi community on the occasion of Ahuna 2018.

In his message, Acharya said Ahuna, the post harvest festival, signified the celebration of the season’s harvest in thanksgiving. He called upon the Sumi community to thank the Almighty for his unwavering love and blessings.
Acharya also urged the Sumis to continue safeguarding and promoting their rich culture and traditions through the festival and come together and rededicate oneself to make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and for all round development in the State.
The Governor prayed that the festival of Ahuna bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Sumis in particular and Nagas in general.
