Mizoram on Tuesday reported 1 more death due to Covid19 infection and 1468 new positive cases.
With the new cases, the state’s positive tally increased to 65,696 on Tuesday.
Of the total cases, 33,354 are male and 32,342 are female.
According to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations,
Mizoram, on Tuesday morning, of the new cases, 314 cases were found positive for the virus during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC).
While 47 cases were detected positive during TrueNAT test, 1,095 were detected positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 12 were found positive during FIA test.
Mizoram’s positivity rate stood at 11.92 % on Tuesday.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed the lives of a total of 226 patients in Mizoram.
Meanwhile, a total of 415 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease as per the health bulletin released by the DIPR at 5 pm on Monday.
Of the recoveries, Mamit recorded 148, Kolasib-139, Lawngtlai-36, Aizawl-24, Champhai-24, Khawzawl-18, Lunglei-12, Serchhip-8, Hnahthial-4 and Saitual recorded 2 recoveries on Tuesday.
So far, a total of 54,056 patients have recovered from the disease in Mizoram.
Mizoram’s recovery rate stands at 83.89%.
The state currently has 11,414 active Covid19 cases.
Of the active cases, in Mizoram, Aizawl district has 7,084 cases, Lunglei – 776, Siaha – 354, Champhai – 665, Kolasib – 789, Serchhip – 203, Lawngtlai – 768, Mamit – 569, Khawzawl – 152, Hnahthial – 36 and Saitual has 18 active cases.
On Monday, Mizoram reported 4 Covid19 deaths and 444 positive cases and the positive tally stood at 64,228.
Mizoram’s positivity rate stood at 21.66% on Monday.
A total of 662 patients recovered from the disease as per the health bulletin released by the DIPR at 5 pm on Sunday.
Mizoram’s recovery rate stood at 88.47% on Sunday and the number of active Covid19 cases in the state stood at 10,538.
