Mizoram has registered two more COVID19 cases on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 24.
Sharing the latest update on Mizoram’s COVID19 status, the directorate of information & public relations (DIPR), Mizoram on its Twitter handle in the evening on Saturday confirmed the detection of the new cases.
As per the data, the number of active COVID19 cases in Mizoram stands at 23.
Out of the total samples sent for COVID19 tests, results of more than 200 samples are awaited.

Earlier, the first COVID19 positive case registered in the state was discharged from the hospital after recovery.
On Friday, the state registered 5 more positive cases and the total COVID19 cases stood at 22.
Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga also shared the information through his Twitter.
The chief minister urged the people to take all preventive precautionary measures and abide by the various rules and regulatory procedures laid down by the state’s administration, health officials, and various task forces related to Covid19.
Zoramthanga hoped, “Mizoram will be back stronger!”
