The delegation submitted a representation and demanded immediate stoppage of illegal recruitment examination to fill up the so-called vacant posts of Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), C & D under various departments of Chakma Autonomous District Council.

In a letter to the Executive Secretary of CADC, the BJP CADC alleged that the present Executive Committee CADC notified about a recruitment examination to be conducted to fill up 54 vacant posts under various departments of CADC which was neither made available on the public notice board nor on print media of Mizoram.

The notification came to public notice after it went viral on different social media platforms on the evening of December 13, 2021.

BJP CADC alleged that this kind of corrupt practices/illegalities of the present Executive Committee, led by CADC CEM Rasik Mohan Chakma, is nothing new as a tactic used to keep out all competent and eligible candidates out from the interviews and is a deliberate attempt to only choose the kith and kin of the ruling MNF MDCs of CADC for the said so-called vacancies.

The BJP CADC delegation also reminded the CADC Executive Secretary that the present Executive Committee of CADC is facing an acute financial crisis having more than Rs. 28 crore deficit budget and presently the Executive Committee of CADC is not in the position to fill up such huge numbers of so-called vacant posts.

The delegation requested the Executive Secretary of CADC to immediately stop the “illegal” recruitment examination for the “so-called” vacancies.

The delegation also sent the copies of the letter to the Governor of Mizoram, Secretary, DC & MA, Government of Mizoram and Deputy Commissioner of Lawngtlai.
