The Assam Rifles celebrated Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Ex-Servicemen Reunion in Mizoram.
The celebration of Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Reunion of Ex-Servicemen was organized at the AR Football ground under the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles on Thursday.
The Swarnim Vijay Varsh was celebrated across the nation from December 16, 2020 to December 16, 2021 to mark the 50 years of Indian victory in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, all the Ex-Servicemen of Mizoram celebrated the event.
Wreaths were laid in the honour of the martyrs of 1971 war by Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga, home minister Lalchamliana, DGP, Brig Dijvijay Singh, Commander, 23 Sector Assam Rifles, Second-in-Command JS Malik, Officiating Commandant, Aizawl Battalion and senior most Ex-Servicemen.
The event was witnessed by troops of Assam Rifles, 1971 War veterans and troops from Red Shield Division and the Mizoram Governor.

Swarnim Vijay Varsh-cum-Ex-Servicemen Reunion programme was carried out at AR football ground of Aizawl Battalion.
Mizoram home minister Lalchamliana, Brig Dijvijay Singh, Commander, 23 Sector Assam Rifles, Second-in-Command JS Malik and Ex-Servicemen of Mizoram attended the programme.
The event was witnessed by troops of Assam Rifles and civilians.
The Chief Guest congratulated all on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration and remembered the brave martyrs on the occasion who laid down their lives to ensure victory of the nation.
