The Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles at the initiative of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (East) conducted an online assessment and comprehensive counselling session for the participants of the pre-recruitment programme in Mizoram.
The online assessment and comprehensive counselling session was conducted on Friday for the youths of Mizoram who participated in a pre-recruitment programme with effect from February 3 to April 18, 2021 at the Aizawl Battalion Headquarters.
The initiative has been taken in order to widen the career prospects for the youth of Mizoram.
“As a continuation of the cadre, the Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted an online assessment and comprehensive counselling session for all the participants of the pre-recruitment cadre on June 4, 2021,” the HQ IGAR (East) said in a statement.
This online effort was undertaken by the Assam Rifles with a primary aim of keeping the young aspirants for Uniformed Forces prepared for the competitive examination and the secondary aim of keeping the future of Mizoram motivated amidst the COVID19 pandemic situation in the state, it said.
“The Aizwal Battalion of Assam Rifles has taken up this massive initiative to assist the youth of state in overall upliftment and for providing them with opportunities and assistance for joining the forces and serve the nation as proud and disciplined soldiers,” the statement said.
Assam Rifles, being the sentinels of North East, has always been active and supportive to the youth of Mizoram especially in incorporating a sense of nationalism in their young & productive minds.
The online programme has been conceptualised to be conducted regularly to assess the preparation of the aspirants for various examination of uniformed forces including Army and paramilitary forces and also to guide them on the preparation issues, it said.
The online programme was highly subscribed by the young girls and boys of Mizoram with participation of 3 girls and 217 boys.
“The instructional staff will subsequently speak to each participant and discuss their performance in detail for making them adequately prepared,” the HQ IGAR (East) said.
More such online initiatives will follow to keep the spark among these young girls and boys live, it further said.
