Guwahati: Five persons were apprehended with two vehicles in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya with a huge haul of various edible items with no valid documents.
Sources said that the seizure was made by the Border Security Force based on specific inputs.

The apprehended persons were all Indian nationals.
The seized vehicles were a truck and a bus loaded with edible items at East Khasi Hill.
One truck and one bus at Ranikor-Dangar T-junction were intercepted, the BSF said.

Both were coming from Shillong towards the border area.
The loaded edible items were estimated to be worth approximately Rs 43 lakh.
The drivers, however, failed to produce valid documents related to the vehicles as well as the loaded items.
Based on an inquiry the five persons associated with the items were apprehended and handed over to the Dangar police outpost for further investigation.
