Meghalaya has reported 19 more Covid19 deaths and 957 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Covid19 bulletin, released by the National Health Mission (NHM) Meghalaya, with the new cases, the positive tally in the state reached 31,449 on Tuesday.
With the demise of 19 more patients due to Covid19, the death toll in Meghalaya reached 502.
Meghalaya currently has 7971 active Covid19 cases.
So far, a total of 22,976 people have recovered from the disease.
On Monday, Meghalaya reported 811 new positive cases.
Covid19 death toll in Meghalaya was 483 on Monday and the positive tally stood at 30,492.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma had a meeting on Tuesday to assess the Covid19 scenario in the state.
In a tweet on Tuesday, chief minister Sangma said the East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner has done a recce of the government buildings to be temporarily converted into Corona Care Centres or isolation centres in Shillong.
“Team is instructed to chalk out final plan to execute the same,” he tweeted.

“Discussions also held on the issue of expenditure faced by patients in private hospitals & plight of families of Covid deceased. In the next 48 Hrs, Health Dept is directed to work out a solution to help patients & assistance that may be extended from the Govt. to the families,” the Meghalaya chief minister tweeted.
