Assam has reported 92 more Covid19 deaths and 5,767 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,14,315 tests.

The Assam chief minister informed that the overall positivity percentage of the state stood at 5.04% on Tuesday.

Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district alone reported 624 cases.

Hundreds of people also recovered from the disease in Assam in the last 24 hours.

The Covid19 recovery rate in Assam stood at 84.84%, the Assam CM said.

“Summary of 25/5/2021 – Today’s Total 5767; Overall Positivity Percentage (5767 cases out of 114315 test done = 5.04%); Kamrup (M) 624;  Death 92; Recovery Rate 84.84%,” Assam chief minister Sarma tweeted.

On Monday, Assam reported 84 Covid19 deaths and 6,221 positive cases.

Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 5.16% on Monday.

On Monday, Kamrup Metro reported 729 positive cases.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded 1,96,427 new Covid19 cases.

Cumulatively, the active caseload has reduced to 25,86,782.

Active Covid19 cases have decreased since its last peak on May 10, 2021.

A net decline of 1,33,934 is witnessed in the last 24 hours, according to the the Union health ministry data.

India’s daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 12th consecutive day.

A total of 3,26,850 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.

India’s cumulative recoveries have reached 2,40,54,861 on Tuesday, the Union health ministry said.

A total of 20,58,112 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country and cumulatively 33,25,94,176 tests have been done so far.
