Meghalaya Police arrested four people in connection with the clash, which led to the killing of one Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) member on February 28 at Ichamati in East Khasi hills district of Meghalaya.
G.K. Iangrai, assistant inspector general of police (A) issued a statement on Wednesday and informed about the arrest of the four youths.

Lurshai Hynniewta, a KSU member was critically injured in the clash at Ichamati, and later succumbed to his injuries at the PHC in Sohra.

The four arrested people were identified as Birendro Debnath alias Babul (20 years), Suman Dutta (20 years), Babla Acharya (29 years) and Ponil Das (38 years).

So far, 12 people have been arrested in connection with the incident, which led to the killing of Lurshai Hynniewta.
