Lt Col DG Sinha of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) directorate, NER, won the 45th Mr Meghalaya Body Building Championship conducted by the Meghalaya Body Building Federation (MBBF).
The Meghalaya Body Building Federation is affiliated to the Indian Body Building Federation (IBBF).
According to sources, Lt Col Sinha secured the first place in the 85 kg category of the competition and won the title of Mr Meghalaya.
The championship was held at Assam Kristi Kendra Auditorium near St Peter’s School at Dhankheti in Shillong.
In the title fight for Mr Meghalaya and champion of champion’s trophy, Sinha defeated all the gold medal winners in various weight categories to become Mr Meghalaya champion of champions 2019.
The Meghalaya Body Building Federation organized the championship in various categories.
The categories included Bodybuilding; Men’s physique; Miss best physique; Mom best physique and Masters.
The championship was also a selection trial for Eastern India champions, Junior Mr India; Masters; Model Physique; Miss Sport Physique and Senior Mr India Championship.
The winners from each of the categories of the competition will feature in Mr Meghalaya 2020.
It may be mentioned that Raymond Nongkhlaw from Meghalaya won the title of Mr India 2019 in the Mr. & Miss India National Bodybuilding Competition 2019 held at Cochin in Kerala in October last.
The competition was organised by the NABBA/WFF.
