Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas of Meghalaya on Thursday.
This comes after moderate rainfall and gusts of wind ranging from 30 to 40 kmph were experienced across the state on Wednesday.

Two weather systems are expected to influence the region’s weather: a trough extending from Jharkhand to south Assam and another moving westward along a specific longitude.
Additionally, a cyclonic circulation over east Assam and surrounding areas is expected to further impact the likelihood of precipitation in the coming days.
