Guwahati: Shillong MP and Meghalaya Congress chief Vincent H Pala has responded strongly to criticisms from the Voice of the People Party (VPP), accusing them of aligning with BJP’s ideologies.
Pala stated that VPP’s actions mirror those of the BJP, particularly in their treatment of church leaders and religious polarization of voters.

He challenged VPP to clarify their stance and dismiss their allegations against the Congress leadership, asserting that the party remains independent.

He dismissed claims of his association with the National People’s Party (NPP) and refuted allegations of orchestrating defections from Congress. In turn, VPP accused Pala of facilitating NPP’s interests by weakening Congress in Meghalaya.
