Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday hailed the efforts of Army officer from the State – Captain SM Rangnamei for showing exemplary courage during the clashes with troopers of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China at the Galwan Valley last year.
Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei, of 16 Bihar Regiment of the Indian Army hails from Manipur’s Senapati district.
Captain SM Rangnamei led his men bravely during the clashes with the Chinese PLA troopers at the Galwan Valley last year.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday took to twitter to appreciate the bravery shown by the officer during the clashes.
Both the leaders also shared a picture of Captain SM Rangnamei in their tweets.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted: “He is Captain Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati District in Manipur. He led his men from 16 Bihar in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA.”
Manipur Chief Minister tweeted: “Meet Capt Soiba Maningba Rangnamei from Senapati District, Manipur of 16 Bihar, leading his men in Galwan during the confrontation against the Chinese PLA. The valour you have shown while standing up for the Nation has made all of us proud.”
