The tunnel is 2265 metres long and it is the second-longest tunnel connecting Tupul and Imphal. There are seven tunnels in total.

The remaining tunnels would be completed soon, said Yadav.

โ€œEven though the target to complete the tunnels was 2020, however, work has been delayed due to the geographical remoteness and the hilly terrain,โ€ Yadav added.
