The tunnel is 2265 metres long and it is the second-longest tunnel connecting Tupul and Imphal. There are seven tunnels in total.

The remaining tunnels would be completed soon, said Yadav.

“Even though the target to complete the tunnels was 2020, however, work has been delayed due to the geographical remoteness and the hilly terrain,” Yadav added.
