Security forces in Manipur recovered a huge quantity of war-like stores from Moreh.

The recovery was made by the Moreh Battalion of the Assam Rifles recently.

“During border domination patrol, security forces observed suspicious packets in a vehicle with markings in Chinese language. On further inquiry, the driver of the vehicle revealed that the consignment was collected from a hotel in Moreh and to be transported to Churachandpur,” an official release stated.

It added: “Security forces immediately raided the hotel and recovered huge quantities of stores such as Picatinny rails, a mounting platform for firearms accessories, military dresses, and one high-pressure pneumatic pump.”

Meanwhile, the recovered items have been handed over to Moreh Police Station for further legal action.
