The Manipur government has decided to form Covid-19 care committees in all assembly constituencies in the state to monitor the situation.
Each Covid-19 care committee will be headed by an MLA, who will be responsible for monitoring the situation as well as ensure adherence to all SOPs by all people residing in his constituency.
Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Friday held a meeting with all the sitting MLAs in Imphal to discuss the pandemic situation.
The chief minister had also held a meeting with health officials, bureaucrats and police personnel to discuss the nature of lockdown and containment zones to be announced in Manipur.
