Guwahati: A major fire erupted on Tuesday morning at Moreh bypass road in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district, bordering Myanmar.

The blaze ripped through two wooden houses built on stilts, reducing them to ashes. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties.

The swift action of a neighbour who spotted the flames and alerted the Moreh Substation Fire Department prevented the fire from spreading to nearby houses.
