Guwahati: A CRPF personnel was found dead in Guwahati, Assam on Tuesday. It was suspected that his wife killed him and she has been arrested.
According to reports, the deceased personnel was posted in Manipur and was in Guwahati for the holidays.
He lived at a rented accommodation with his family in Guwahati’s Kahilparra area, reports claimed.
The personnel was identified as Ditumoni Haloi.

He was stationed in Manipur with the 175th battalion and was found lifeless inside a locked rented room where he resided with his wife and two children.
It has been alleged that he might have been murdered by his wife over an alleged extra-marital affair.

Ditumoni, upon returning home unexpectedly, allegedly discovered his wife, Hiramoni Haloi, in an intimate situation with another man within their residence, the reports said.
An altercation ensued following the incident.
However, it was during this fight it was found that the woman had allegedly murdered Ditumoni.
Police have arrested the woman based on the ongoing investigation.
Further investigations are being carried out by the police.
