The international flight service between Manipur’s capital city Imphal to Myanmar’s bustling city Mandalay will commence from November 23.
Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh announced the commencement of Imphal-Mandalay flights while launching an online ticketing portal for the flight service in Manipur on Thursday.

Singh tweeted, “Happy to launch the E-Booking Services of the Imphal-Mandalay-Imphal flight to be operated by Air KBZ under the Department of Transport, Government of Manipur.”
The Imphal-Mandalay flight services will be available twice a week – Monday and Saturday – from November 23 onwards.
The two way ticket fares for the Imphal-Mandalay flight services start from Rs 14,000.

The first Imphal-Mandalay flight will take off from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Manipur on November 23.
To operate the Imphal-Mandalay flight services, Myanmar airline Air KBZ had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Imphal-based tour and travel firm KB Enterprises on July 3 this year.
During the launch of the online ticketing portal for the Imphal-Mandalay flight services, Manipur transport director Mercina R Panmei said that the commencement of the flight will take the State closer to the goal of making it the major hub for travel to South-East Asian countries.
