Hyundai Motor contributes Rs 1 crore to Assam CM’s Relief Fund

A delegation of Hyundai Motor India handing over a cheque of Rs 1 crore to CM's Relief Fund.

As a gesture to support the flood affected people of Assam, Hyundai Motor India Limited on Tuesday contributed Rs. 1 crore to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

The cheque of Rs 1 crore was handed over to Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Brahmaputra State Guest House in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Besides, several other organisations, MLAs, government employees and individuals also contributed to the Assam CM’s relief Fund.

The managing director of Assam Fisheries Development Corporation contributed Rs. 10 lakh, the chairman of Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Ltd. contributed Rs. 10 lakh and Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council contributed Rs. 2,19,000 to CM’s Relief Fund.

MLA Ranoj Pegu contributed Rs. 1 lakh to CM’s Relief Fund.

The other contributors, who contributed to CM’s Relief Fund are Assam Natural Tea Products,  Luhit Tea Company Pvt. Limited, Greenfield Crops Pvt. Limited, Tanay Tea, M.D. Chai Udyog, Utpalakshi Agro Products Pvt. Ltd. and Sector II Staff Institute Noonmati.

The Tour Operators’ Association of Assam, Arotee Agro Pvt. Ltd, Binani Tea and Industries, Laxmi Tea Processors Company Pvt. Ltd, Radha Tea Company Pvt. Limited and Gauripur Tea Industry also contributed towards the CMRF as a support to the flood-hit people.

Malpani Tea Company Pvt Ltd, Rangdoi Tea Company, Tsangpool Tea Pvt. Limited, M/s B.L. Tea Industries, Lalbagan Tea and Assam Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Service Association also contributed towards the CMRF.

MLA Kushal Dowari, Makhibaha Gramonnyan Samitti, MLA Binanda Kumar Saikia, Durga Tea Company, Sanjiv Tea Industry Pvt. Limited and a host of personalities and organisations also contributed to the CM’s Relief Fund.

A delegation from Concept Junior College, Nagaon also called on Assam CM Sonowal on Tuesday at the Assam Legislative Assembly, Guwahati and contributed Rs 1,00,000 to the CMRF.

A delegation from Guwahati Refinery Staff Institute also called on Assam CM on Tuesday and contributed Rs 5 lakh towards the CMRF.

The Northeast Tea Producers Association contributed Rs 3,05,000 and representatives of Applied Systems led by Arup Kumar contributed Rs 2 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on Tuesday.
