Aakash Institute contributes Rs 51 lakh to Assam CM’s Relief Fund

In order to help the flood-affected people of Assam, various organisations and individuals including MLAs, ministers and journalists continue to contribute to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

On Monday, the Aakash Institute contributed Rs 51 lakh towards the CMRF.

Industrialist Ravi Prakash Agarwal and Astha Motors contributed Rs 5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively to CMRF.

Representatives of the Skill Development Vocational Teacher’s Association and Kamakhya Devalaya also contributed to the CMRF on Monday.

The Jayanti Contractors & Engineers and Kamrup Medicine Dealers’ Association contributed Rs 2 lakh each while Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) vice-chairman Jitu Talukdar contributed Rs 40,000.

While representatives of Vinayak Classes contributed Rs 25,000, Mangaldai MLA Gurujyoti Das presented a cheque of Rs 25,000 to the CMRF.

Assam minister Sum Ronghang, MLAs Prasanta Phukan and Suren Phukan called on Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Assam Legislative Assembly on Monday and presented their contribution towards the CMRF.

MLAs Ashwini Ray Sarkar, Ashok Kumar Singhi and Dilip Kumar Paul also contributed towards the CMRF.

Volunteer organisation Ready to Help, the Dispur Baptist Church and newly appointed Assistant Engineers 3F (PWD) contributed Rs 6 lakh, Rs 50,000 and Rs 52,300 respectively.

Members of the Guwahati Silpi Samaj called on Assam chief minister Sonowal on Sunday and contributed Rs 51,000.

Representatives of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) Digboi and Guwahati units recently called on Sonowal in Guwahati and contributed Rs 16.36 lakh and Rs 8.16 lakh respectively.

Brand Ambassador of Assam forest department Ananda Khataniar has also contributed Rs 25,000 and journalist Sunil Borah also presented his contribution to the CMRF while calling on the CM.

A delegation of United Bank of India (UBI) also called on Sonowal recently and handed over a cheque of Rs 51 lakh as their donation towards CMRF.

The members of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) legislature party recently called on CM Sonowal  and contributed Rs 5 lakh to the CMRF.
