Uttarakhand government on Friday donated Rs 5 crore to CMRF (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund) as an aid for the flood victims of Assam.
An official release from the CMO stated that Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat spoke to Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal over the phone on Friday and took stock of the prevailing flood situation in the state.

Rawat expressed empathy for the flood affected people and appreciated the Assam government’s relief and rescue operations.
“During the interaction, Rawat said that his government would extend all support to the Assam government to mitigate the devastation caused by flood in the state,” the release added.
Rawat further informed Sonowal that the Uttarakhand government would contribute Rs. 5 crore to the CMRF to boost relief, rescue and rehabilitation measures.
