A top-level Yes Bank official from Assam has lost his life due to Covid19 infection at Gurgaon in Delhi.

The Covid19 victim has been identified as 51-year-old Sarbeswar Das (51), son of social worker, late Nandaram Das from Latibari village under Tamulpur sub-division in Assam’s Baksa district.

He died of Covid19 infection in the national capital on Friday.

Sarbeswar Das was serving as a senior vice president of Yes Bank in New Delhi.

He was undergoing treatment at W Pratiksha Hospital at Gurgaon after he tested Covid19.

Das was born in historic Bamundi village under Kamrup rural district.

Later, he studied at Latibari High School in Tamulpur Sub-division of Baksa district and passed the HSLC Examination with fame.

He graduated from Assam Agricultural University (AAU).

Das joined the banking sector as a probationary officer after clearing the all India level examination for the post.

During his service life, he also worked with the State Bank of India (SBI) in a couple of branches in different states in South India.

He was worked with foreign banks including Royal Bank of Scottish.

Das was working with Yes Bank of Delhi before his death.

He also received an MBA degree from Southern New Hampshire University.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
