Assam has registered 14 more Covid19 deaths and 2,236 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The news has been confirmed by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status.

The Assam health minister informed that the positive cases were confirmed out of a total of 69,094 tests on Saturday.

Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 3.24%.

Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district reported 815 positive cases, minister Sarma said.

“Summary of 24/4/2021 – Today’s Total 2236; Overall Positivity Percentage (2236 cases out of 69094 test done = 3.24%); Kamrup(M) 815;  Death due to COVID-14,” health minister Sarma tweeted.

India’s cumulative National Recovery Rate was 83.49%.

The Union health ministry in a statement on Saturday said 3,46,786 new Covid19 positive cases were registered in the last 24 hours.

Ten states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan reported 74.15% of the new cases.

India’s total active caseload reached 25,52,940 in the last 24 hours.

Eleven states/UTs have not reported any COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours.

These are Ladakh (UT), D&D & D&N, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, A&N Islands and Arunachal Pradesh, the ministry stated.
