“The longer PM Narendra Modi’s beard growing, the prices of petrol and diesel rising.”
This was stated by Assam Congress leader RP Sharma.
Assam Congress leader RP Sharma, who is known for making controversial statements, recently said that longer the beard of Narendra Modi is growing, prices of petrol and diesel in the country are also rising.
Slamming the BJP Governments both at the Centre and in the State for ‘failing’ to check the sky-rocketing prices of petrol and diesel and other essential commodities in the Country, the Congress leader said that never in the history of India the prices of fuel had touched the 100-rupee mark.
“Thanks to BJP Government and Narendra Modi, for the first time in 70 years of independence, the common man of the Country is paying Rs 100 for per litre of petrol,” RP Sharma said.
RP Sharma added: “In the last 7 years of BJP regime in the Country, the fuel prices have shot up to Rs 100. Prior to that, the fuel prices were hovering at around Rs 60-65 years for many years.”

RP Sharma further taking a dig at the BJP said that fearing loss in the upcoming elections the BJP has started its “foundation laying politics” in its bid to show the people of Assam that it is working towards development.
RP Sharma further exuded confidence that the Congress will storm back to power in Assam with a clear majority.
“The BJP leaders are no longer talking about their 100+ mission because they have now realised that the people of Assam have now understood their agenda. Congress-led Grand Alliance will form next Government in Assam,” RP Sharma said.
