In a move to inculcate scientific temperament among the students, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab in Guwahati.
Atal Tinkering Lab is an approach of the Centre to create an environment of innovation, creativity amongst the students.
The Indian government has allocated financial support in the form of grant-in-aid for establishing the Atal Tinkering Lab, which is an initiative of NITI Aayog.
Speaking on the occasion Sonowal said the Atal Tinkering Lab has the objective to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination among the students.
“This will encourage young minds to imbibe scientific temperament. The lab will further empower the students to find innovative solutions to the problems faced by society,” he added.
Sonowal further said that Assam is a land full of possibilities and prosperities.
“Considering the potentials of Assam, Assam has been recognised as the new engine of growth by the Centre,” Sonowal added.
“I urged the student community to work hard and take Assam to greater heights,” he added.
Chief Minister Sonowal on this occasion interacted with the students and witnessed their innovative projects in the lab.
