Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati professor Subhendu Sekhar Bag has been honoured with the prestigious Chartered Chemist designation by the Royal Society of Chemistry in London.

Bag is a professor of the department of chemistry at IIT Guwahati.

The professor received this honour for his extraordinary work in the field of chemistry.

The premier institute announced this on Twitter.

“Prof. Subhendu Sekhar Bag, Dept. of Chemistry, @IITGuwahati has been awarded the prestigious Chartered Chemist designation by the Royal Society of Chemistry, London. This honour is awarded to the scientists who have demonstrated extraordinary research and academic achievements,” IIT Guwahati tweeted.
