Girijananada Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT) has announced an online Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) competition will be held on June 15 for students who have appeared in (10+2) examination this year or those who passed (10+2) examination last year.
The competition shall comprise of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the intermediate (10+2) level.
The participants have to fill the online registration form prior to the competition.
They have to upload their School/College ID card as proof of their identity at the time of filling the application form.
The last date for filling the application form is June 12 and the participation shall be at an individual level and no group participation is allowed.
There will be three prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.
In case of a tie, then the candidate securing higher marks in Mathematics will be considered for the prize.
In case two or more participants are found to secure the same total marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined, and also same marks in Mathematics, then the candidate securing higher marks in Physics will be considered for the prize.
In case of marks in Physics are also found to be equal, the organizing committee will decide the winner each participant will get an E-Certificate which will be sent to his/her registered email Id submitted at the time of registration.
The competition will be conducted through Google Classroom.
The instructions of the competition will be given after receiving the application form in the prescribed format.
All questions will be of MCQ type which has to be answered within the stipulated time frame.
The organizing team will share the online classroom codes to the participants via (SMS/WhatsApp/Email) three hours before the start of the online competition.
The results will be uploaded on the GIMT website (www.gimt-guwahati.ac.in) within 3 days of the competition.

The top 20 participants will have the opportunity to choose the desired branch of engineering, in case they wish to take admission at GIMT, Guwahati.
