Ranjit Dass avoiding my calls as he fears of catching COVID if he does so: Shiladitya Dev

BJP MLA from Hojai constituency Shiladitya Dev on Friday, once again, said that at no point did he say that he is leaving the party.

“I never said I am resigning from the party. I said I am retiring from my current post. However, I have deferred the decision by a week after central leadership advised me to do so,” he added.

He further said that senior BJP leaders of the state, including state president Ranjit Dass, has not been answering his calls.

“I think Ranjit Dass fears that he will be infected with COVID-19 if he answers my calls,” Dev said.

Dev also accused Dass of causing a rift within the BJP.

“Because of Dass several senior leaders of the party have ended receiving a cold shoulder,” Dev said.
