One more person died of Covid19 in Assam on Monday, taking the death toll to 975 while the positive tally increased to 2,11,682 with the detection of 169 new cases on the day.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday night said the new cases have been detected in the state out of 25,225 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

Assam positivity rate stands at 0.67%, Sarma said.
“169 Cases detected out of 25225 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 0.67%,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district has reported 56 cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,07,525 patients have been discharged after their recovery from the disease so far, Sarma shared.
The percentage of the recovered patients in the state is 98.02%, Sarma said.
Assam currently has 3,179 active Covid19 cases, which is 1.51% of the total Covid19 cases, he said.
Assam’s death rate is 0.46%.
Sarma in an earlier tweet on Monday informed that Assam recorded one more Covid19 death.
“Sad to share the demise of one #COVID patient today,” he tweeted.
The deceased has been identified as Jaswant Kaur (85) of Dibrugarh.
