Hostels across Assam are all set to re-open from February 1.
Although the hostels were partially opened in December last year for final year students, but as er the latest notification of the Assam Government, all boarders would be back, though in a phased manner.
However, students who wish to stay in the hostel can return to the hostel only with the permission of their parents.
The travel details of the students returning to hostels would have to be properly collected by the hostel authorities.
According to the fresh SOP released by the Assam Government, kitchens, toilets, dining rooms and dormitories needs to be properly sanitized.
As per the SOP issued by the Assam State Education Department, it has allowed reopening of schools for all classes from February 1.
The decision was taken keeping in view the low rate of COVID-19 infection in the State in recent times.
Regular classes from standard 1 to 5 of lower primary schools and from standard 6 to 10 of the upper primary schools would also commence regularly from February 1.
Similarly, classes for standard 9, 10, 11, and 12, as well as those of engineering colleges, polytechnics, undergraduate level, universities, etc., will also be regularly held from February 1.
