Meghalaya: Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Police Training School Umran

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has awarded the Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Best Non-Gazetted Training Institute in the North East Zone to the Police Training School, Umran in Meghalaya.

A total of 18 institutes across the nation have been conferred the award in different categories, said a statement issued by G. K. Iangrai, assistant inspector general of police (A), Meghalaya.

The award also includes grant-in-aid as sanctioned by the Government of India.

Besides, a Home Minister’s Disc has also been conferred on those institutes which have won the award at the national level.

The Meghalaya Police have congratulated the training institute for the hionour.

“A very big congratulations to the past & present officers, personnel and faculty of Police Training School, Umran, for their indefatigable contributions towards achieving this commendable award. Keep up the good work,” Meghalaya Police tweeted while sharing the news.
