Heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya on Thursday.

A warning bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department on Wednesday evening stated that the entire Northeast will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall over the new couple of days.

The bulletin also predicted strong winds with speed reaching up to 40 to 50 kmph over north, central and adjoining wouthwest Arabian Sea and east-central of Bay of Bengal.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also predicted during the next two days at isolated places across Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya.

Rains are likely to continue for another two days in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Notably Assam is trying to get over the tide of flood that devastated almost all the districts across the State.
