Chief Justice of India Justice Ranjan Gogoi released the Assamese translation of a book titled, Courts of India: Past to Present.

Speaking at the event, CJI Gogoi termed the book as the architecture of justice.

The book fabulously explains the Indian justice system, Gogoi said.

He also emphasized that the law students should go through the book.

Addressing the gathering, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said the book will be provided to all government libraries in Assam.

He also said that the book “Courts of India: Past to Present” is a unique way of paying glowing tribute to all the known and unknown luminaries who shaped the “citadel of justice” brick by brick and brought it to its present level of excellence.

In his address, CJI designate SA Bobde termed the book as one of the finest compilations.

Justice Bobde said he is looking forward to see the book get translated in other languages as well.

Judges of the Supreme Court of India Justice Arun Mishra, Justice Rabindra Bhatt, Justice Hrishikesh Roy, chief justice of Gauhati High Court Ajai Lambha were also present at the event.
