The 67th foundation day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) will be observed across Assam on Saturday with a series of programmes focussing on the Bodo literary works.
BSS, which promotes the Bodo language and literature, was founded under the presidency and leadership of Joy Bhadra Hagjer, at Basugaon, in Kokrajhar on November 16, 1952.

The BSS consisted of representatives of Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Nepal.
Taren Boro is the current president of BSS.
Different Bodo literary bodies including the district units of the BSS will take part in the foundation day celebration.

The central function will be held in Kokrajhar and will be participated by several Bodo litterateurs from across the state.
