The 19th death anniversary of former Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Bineswar Brahma was observed in Kokrajhar of Assam on Monday.

The programme was held at Chandamari near Bineswar Brahma cultural complex in Kokrajhar.

Organized by Bineswar Brahma Trust and Bodo Sahitya Sabha, the programe started with Torren Boro, president of Boro Tunlai Afad hoisting the organization flag.

Homages were paid at the statue of Bineswar Brahma to mark Brahma’s 19th death anniversary.

Bodoland Territorial council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mahilary, Assam social welfare and soil conservation minister Pramila Rani Brahma, BTC executive member Daneswar were present on the occasion.

Leaders from various organizations like Lawrence Islary, general secretary of All Bodo Student Union (ABSU), Urkhao Gwra Brahma, former MP of Rajya Sabha, students from various colleges and schools were also present on the occasion.

An open session was also held on the occasion.
