President of Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Ranjit Dass asserted on Sunday in Hojai that the saffron party will form the government in the state in 2021.

Dass was in Hojai to attend the first executive meeting of Hojai District Bharatiya Janta Party held at Jugal Kishore Kedia Smriti Bhawan.

While interacting with the media Dass said,” There are two crore voters in the state and if 75 per cent voters turn out to vote then it is 1.5 crore.”

“We have 42 lakhs volunteers and if our volunteers can woo their relatives and friends in our favour, then the ratio doubles to 84 lakhs,” he added.

“The vote of 84 lakh people is enough to form a stable government without any hurdle,” he added.

Speaking on Congress-AIUDF alliance Dass said, “If Congress and AIUDF come together, then it is going to be advantageous for us.”

“Due to the alliance they will even lose those constituencies in which they are in power,” he further said.

Dass further said that before the distribution of tickets to the sitting MLAs, the party would conduct a survey and if the report of the survey is satisfactory then only they would get the ticket.
