Assam Bharatiya Janata Party President Bhabesh Kalita on Thursday said that five more legislators will soon join the BJP in the coming days.
Speaking to the media, Kalita said that at least four legislators are in talks with the BJP and they will soon join the party formally.
Legislator Rupjyoti Kurmi too informed that it is confirmed that two MLAs will join the BJP soon as they no longer want to be a part of Congress.
He alleged that people in Congress are tired of the lobbies that have been going on for years and now they want a change.

Speaking on the same lines, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta too claimed that two more legislators from the opposition are set to join the AGP.
However, none of them revealed any names of who might these MLAs be.
It may be mentioned that over the past few days the Congress had witnessed a major political turmoil as it was reported that one of their MLAs was set to join the BJP.

Assam Congress MLA from the Raha constituency Sashi Kanta Das has been rumored to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon.
Several reports claimed that the MLA might join the BJP after he had a brief meeting with the Assam Chief Minister.
However, after the meeting, Sashi Kanta Das speaking to the media denied the claims.
