Job mela

After the controversies regarding the “job mela” by the Assam Government, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that actions will be taken against officials behind the mismanagement of the program.

CM Sarma said that he asked minister Chandra Mohan Patowary to look into the issue.

He said, “Before organizing such a program, there should have been newspaper advertisements clearing out that the jobs would be from private companies.”

He added that the mela could have been organized online to prevent the crowd.
