Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday urged the students to be optimistic and make the best use of their time to be successful in life.
He was taking part in a lively interaction with students of Raha College and Dr BKB College of Nagaon district at the central hall of Assam Legislative Assembly.
Speaking further, he urged the students to abstain from drugs use and misuse of social media.
“One should be punctual and disciplined and must possess good moral character,” he added.
“There is stiff competition in today’s world and to be successful one must work hard,” Sonowal said.
He urged them to devote a daily minimum of ten hours in study and make limited use of social media platforms.
He asked the students to do regular physical exercise and maintaining a positive state of mind.
Expressing concern over the rising number of drugs users, Sonowal urged the students to keep themselves at bay from this social menace.
He also advised the students to be focused and set clear goals in life and work hard to attain them.
He further said that while attaining success, it is equally important to be polite and well-mannered with good character to command respect from society.
