Guwahati: The COVID-19 situation in Assam is deteriorating with every single passing day.ย Number of beds in many hospitals in Assam, especially Guwahati, are almost reaching its capacity.ย
As COVID-19 cases in Guwahati are rising at a rapid pace and hospital beds starting to run out, popular singer Zubeen Garg has proposed the Assam Government to convert his 2-storeyed house into a COVID Care Centre.
Zubeen Gargโs house, if converted to a COVID Care Centre, will cater to the rising demand for beds for COVID-19 treatment.
This two-storeyed house of Zubeen Garg is situated at Kahilipara locality in Guwahati.
The announcement was made by Zubeen Gargโs wife โ Garima Saikia Garg.ย Garima Saikia took to social media to make the announcement.ย
She said: โOn behalf of Brindaban Supermart we would like to inform that the Assam Government/administration is invited to use our 2-storeyed house in Kahilipara (in Guwahati) as COVID Care Centre. Moreover, 2 trucks belonging to the Brindaban Theatre will be ever ready for COVID purposes.โ
Notably, the COVID-19 woes in Assam, especially Guwahati, are on a rise with over a thousand cases being reported daily.
As many asย 1383 cases were detected in andย aroungย Guwahati city on Wednesday.ย Moreover, 18 COVID-19 deaths were also reported from Guwahati on Wednesday.ย
