All the Adivasi militant outfits in Assam including Adivasi Cobra Militants of Assam, (ACMA) Birsa Commando Force (BCF), All Adivasi National Liberation Army (AANLA), Santhali Tiger Force (STF) and Adivasi People’s Army (APA) are currently in ceasefire mode.

Except APA, which was operated from Western Assam, most of these organisations were operating from central and upper (north) Assam.

Centre’s negations process with these outfits have hardly made any progress.

Earlier on September 14, Police and CRPF in a pre-dawn joint operation  arrested two Adivasi militants in eastern Assam’s Kokrajhar district along Indo-Bhutan border.

The arrested cadres belong to Adivasi Cobra Militants of Assam (ACMA), which is in cease-fire mode for last several years.
