Guwahati: A tiger carcass was recovered by forest officials in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR), Assam on Monday morning.
According to sources, the forest department found the tiger carcass from the Haranbali Chapori in Kaziranga after reports of an injured tiger being seen in the area.

An official said that they had received information about a carcass being spotted in the area.

As they investigated the carcass, the officials suspected the cause of death to be a possible infighting.

They are waiting for postmortem reports of the carcass.

There are chances of the tiger dying of old age as well.
A team of veterinarians have already collected samples for a post-mortem examination.
Further investigation regarding the recovery of the carcass is being carried out.
