Guwahati: A teenager was allegedly assaulted brutally by at least three persons in the Kahilipara area of Guwahati, Assam on Monday morning over allegations of milk theft.
According to reports, the incident took place near the Jatia area in Kahilipara of Guwahati.

The teenager was accused of sealing a milk packet from a shop.

According to reports, the shopkeeper and some other people nearby accusing him of theft apprehended him and assaulted him brutally.

They attacked him with keys and also hit him on his private body parts.
The victim received severe injuries on his eyes and head.

He was rescued by the local police who were informed by locals about the assault.
The police said that they are investigating the matter and have detained the people behind the brutal assault.
They said that all angles are being investigated and they are also looking into the theft allegations.
