Assam's Covid19 tally

For the first time after 115 days, Assam recorded no Covid19 death on Wednesday (November 4).

Assam so far has registered a total of 934 Covid19 deaths.

Sharing the good news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on Wednesday: “Good News – Almost for 115 days in a row we have had to endure painful incidents of death of #COVID19 patients in Assam. I am pleased to share that today on November 4, there is NO death case.”

The health minister appealed to all to keep vigil and follow precautions to remain safe during the pandemic.

“We’ve to keep our vigil on and follow all precautions to contain the pandemic,” Sarma said in the tweet.

Health minister Sarma in another tweet said 380 new cases were detected in Assam on Wednesday, taking the state’s Covid19 tally to 2,07,741.

He informed that the new cases were detected out of 29,026 tests.

Assam’s positivity rate stands at 1.31%, he said.

“380 Cases detected out of 29026 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 1.31%,” health minister Sarma said.

Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro registered 101 cases.

Meanwhile, 655 more patients have been discharged in the state.

So far a total of 1,98,694 patients have recovered from the disease, which is 95.64% of the total cases.

Assam currently has 8,110 active cases, which is 3.90% of the total cases.

Assam death rate is 0.45%.
