Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated the Kalapahar Covid Care Hospital in Guwahati.
The Covid Care Hospital has 160 beds.
While sharing the news on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the state health minister said: “Another milestone achieved by #Assam Health Dept in its fight against the pandemic today!”
Sarma claimed that it is a state-of-art facility for the treatment of Covid19 positive patients.
“Extremely delighted to have inaugurated Kalapahar #Covid Care Hospital today, a state-of-art facility for treatment of Covid patients,” the health minister said.

Informing about the accommodation capacity of the hospital and the facilities available in it, health minister Sarma said: “The Kalapahar #Covid Care Hospital is a 160-bed hospital well equipped with all modern equipment & facilities like ICU with oxygen support, ventilator facility, dialysis unit, laboratory & x-ray services.”
“It will provide 24*7 health services by specialists,” Sarma added.
