Assam has reported 50 more Covid19 deaths and 5,756 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The news has been confirmed by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sharing the news on his Twitter handle on Saturday evening, health minister Sarma said the new cases were confirmed out of 65,140 tests.
According to the data, shared by the health minister, of the new Covid19 positive cases, Kamrup Metro district has reported a total of 1,543 cases.
He informed that currently, the state’s positivity rate stands at 8.84%.

Assam’s recovery rate is 86.24%, Sarma said.

On Saturday, India reported over 4 lakh new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours ending 8 am Saturday, taking the country’s total caseload to over 2.18 crore.
Out of the new cases, over 37 lakh cases are currently active while over 1.79 crore people have recovered from the disease.
With 4,187 more Covid19 deaths, the toll now stands at over 2.38 lakh.
