Assam reported 23 more Covid19 deaths and 1,727 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta in a tweet on Saturday said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,33,760 tests.

The state’s overall positivity percentage on Saturday stood at 1.29%.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro registered 250 cases.
While 23 more people succumbed to Covid19 infection on Saturday, hundreds of other people, who were earlier infected by the deadly virus, recovered from the disease.

The state’s Covid19 recovery rate stood at 95.65% on Saturday.

On Friday, Assam reported 24 Covid19 deaths and 1,782 positive cases.
The new cases were confirmed out of 1,27,490 tests on Friday.
The overall Covid19 positivity percentage of Assam stood at 1.40% on Friday and Kamrup Metro district registered 174 cases.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 95.49% on Friday.
Meanwhile, 39.96 crore Covid19 vaccine doses have been administered so far across India under the nationwide vaccination drive.
A total of 3,02,27,792 people have recovered across the country so far and the recovery rate increased to 97.31% on Saturday.
A total of 43,916 patients recovered during last 24 hours while the country reported 38,079 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,24,025, the health ministry said.
