Assam reported 15 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and 784 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Sunday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 91,123 tests.
Chief minister Sarma informed that the state’s overall positivity percentage on Sunday stood at 0.86%.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district recorded 107 cases.
On Sunday, hundreds of patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the deadly disease.
The state’s Covid19 recovery rate was 96.84% on Sunday.

On Saturday, Assam reported 19 Covid19 deaths and 989 positive cases.
The cases were confirmed out of 1,07,285 tests.
The state’s overall positivity percentage was 0.92% on Saturday.
Kamrup Metro district registered a total of 160 positive cases on Saturday.
Meanwhile, 47.02 crore Covid19 vaccine doses have been administered so far across India under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
A total of 3,08,20,521 recoveries have been recorded across the country so far.
India’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.36%.
A total of 39,258 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.
India has reported 41,831 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,10,952.
